In Rhode Island the girls' brackets run inside the association's state wrestling championships. RIIL has not posted the 2027 date yet, so this page shows the month it is expected in and nothing more.

The qualifying path, from the association's page
DATE TBA. The RIIL wrestling (coed) page still shows the 2025-2026 championships: state qualifying tournaments Saturday, February 21st; State Championship at Providence Career & Technical Academy (PCTA), Day 1 Sunday, March 1st; New Englands Saturday, March 7th. 2026 was the first year the RIIL awarded girls' team and individual state titles inside this tournament. No 2026-27 dates on checkedAt; the /sports/wrestling URL is a 404.

Past the state final

One rule worth knowing before the series: a girl's legal minimum weight is built on the 19 percent body fat floor, not the boys' 7 percent. How making weight works covers the certification and what your state enforces at the scale, and the weight classes lists every set by level.
