What the association's page says
MPSSAA news 'New Site for Wrestling State Championships': the Maryland State High School Wrestling Championships move to the Wicomico Civic Center in Salisbury, March 5-6, 2027, with nearly 800 athletes in Class 4A-3A, Class 2A-1A, and the Girls Wrestling Championships. The wrestling page's 2026-27 Wrestling Calendar prints 'March 4-6 State Championships' and a dual state tournament Feb. 13. Girls Division format (championships central page): top 3 per weight from eight regions to a single-classification 24-line bracket.

Past the state final
The careers we have written down start where you are: a state tournament, then a college room, then for a few of them a national team. The colleges above are the next door; the directory has the coach's published contact for most of them.
One rule worth knowing before the series: a girl's legal minimum weight is built on the 19 percent body fat floor, not the boys' 7 percent. How making weight works covers the certification and what your state enforces at the scale, and the weight classes lists every set by level.
