Victoria Anthony grew up in Huntington Beach, California, and joined the boys' team at Marina High School after eight years of judo. In February 2009, as a senior, she won the 103-pound title at the CIF Southern Section Inland Division championships and took the lower-weight most valuable wrestler award. She won the 2008 Junior Nationals and was Outstanding Wrestler at the 2009 Junior Nationals.

In August 2009 in Ankara, Turkey, she beat Chiaki Fujikawa of Japan for the Junior World title at 44 kg, which is about 97 pounds. A year later in Budapest she moved up to 48 kg and beat Davaasuren Bayarmagnai of Mongolia for a second Junior World gold.

At Simon Fraser University she won four WCWA national titles. In 2010 she beat Nicole Woody of Oklahoma City at 105 pounds. In 2011 she pinned Emily Martin of King in 1:29. In 2013 she beat Martin again, 1-0, 1-0, at 109 pounds. In 2014 she pinned Breonnah Neal of Campbellsville in 24 seconds and became the first woman to win four WCWA titles.

She made her first Senior World team in 2013 by moving up to 51 kg and beating Jessica Medina in a wrestle-off. In Budapest she led her semifinal 6-1 before Erdenechimeg Sumiya of Mongolia pinned her, and she placed fifth. In 2016 she lost the Olympic Trials final series to Haley Augello of King, two matches to one. In 2017 she pinned Cody Pfau, then beat her by technical fall, at the World Team Trials, then placed fifth again at the World Championships in Paris at 48 kg. In 2021 she won the Olympic Trials challenge tournament at 50 kg and lost the final series to Sarah Hildebrandt.

She entered the California Wrestling Hall of Fame in 2025. She now lives in Arizona, fights professionally in mixed martial arts, and teaches wrestling clinics around the country.
