Haylie Jaffe grew up in Kennett Square, Pennsylvania, and wrestled for Kennett High School. She won Pennsylvania girls' state titles as a freshman, a sophomore and a junior, in the years before the PIAA sanctioned girls' wrestling.
In the summer of 2023 she won U17 World bronze at 61 kg, about 134 pounds, in Istanbul, beating Beyza Nur Akkus of Turkey 6-3 in the third-place match on three takedowns. She added a 10-2 win over Cadence Diduch of Illinois at a FloWrestling showcase that year.
In March 2024 she wrestled in the first PIAA girls' championships at the Giant Center in Hershey. She pinned Ava Golding of Kiski Area in 1:05 in the semifinals at 136 pounds, then lost the final by fall to Jordyn Fouse of Bishop McCort.
Jaffe enrolled at McKendree University. As a freshman in 2024-25 she reached the 138-pound final at the National Collegiate Women's Wrestling Championships. She beat Alissa Caltagirone of Northern Michigan 12-2 and Taylor Graveman of North Central 5-1 on the way. Katerina Lange of Grand Valley State won the final by technical fall, and Jaffe finished the season 23-6.
In April 2025 she won the U20 division of the U.S. Marine Corps Women's Nationals in Spokane at 62 kg. She beat Lilly Luft of Iowa 3-0 and 4-3 in the championship series to make her second age-group World Team.
She wrestled at 62 kg at the U20 World Championships in Samokov, Bulgaria, that August. As a sophomore she won the Region VI title at 138 pounds in St. Charles, Missouri, part of a McKendree sweep of all 10 weight classes.
She wrestles at 138 pounds for McKendree, which won the team title at the first NCAA women's wrestling championships in March 2026, where she placed third.
